De Grieken hebben besloten om op zondag 17 juni opnieuw parlementsverkiezingen te houden. Het land staat na het mislukken van de coalitiebesprekingen op het rand van een faillissement.
De onderhandelende partijen kwamen niet tot consensus over een 'zakenkabinet'. Daarom is besloten om opnieuw verkiezingen te houden.
Recente peilingen tonen aan dat het linkse Syriza als winnaar uit de bus zal komen.
