Assange publiceerde op zijn klokkenluiderssite duizenden vertrouwelijke documenten over de oorlog in Irak en Afghanistan en nota's die afkomstig waren van Amerikaanse diplomaten.
Volgens het magazine kreeg Assange concurrentie van God, omwille van de overstromingen die Australië treffen. Ook de Deense prinses Mary, die van Australische komaf is, was in de running voor de titel.
