De vrijwilligers van V-Med blijven wellicht twee weken in Chili. "Een team zal in het ziekenhuis van Concepcion werken, terwijl een tweede team gewonden op het terrein verzorgt", zegt Beaucourt.
Chili heeft de internationale gemeenschap om hulp gevraagd na de aardbeving van afgelopen weekend. Volgens presidente Michelle Bachelet kwamen minstens 795 mensen om het leven door het natuurgeweld.
