De mars kwam er op initiatief van de plaatselijke Koerdische bewegingen. De actievoerders scandeerden onder meer 'De PKK is geen terroristische partij' en 'Bevrijd onze kameraden'.
De betoging in Rennes verliep zonder incidenten. Ook in Brussel was er een mars.
