Schotland is dinsdag getroffen door winterweer dat ook koers zou zetten naar het zuiden, zo heeft de Britse commerciële nieuwszender SkyNews gemeld.
Vorige dinsdag liep het kwik in Aboyne, Aberdeenshire, op tot 23,6 graden. Maar in de nacht van maandag op dinsdag sloeg de situatie helemaal om. Er viel tot 19 cm sneeuw in Aviemore in de Highlands en het
vroor tot min 2 graden in Glen Ogle.
Er is ook sneeuw voorspeld voor Noord-Ierland en mogelijk de Midlands tot zelfs Wales.
