197 vluchtelingen zijn dinsdag verdronken toen hun boot voor de Soedanese kust in brand was gevlogen.
De slachtoffers zijn wellicht Afrikanen die illegaal naar Saudi-Arabië wilden gaan.
Volgens het persagentschap Reuters overleefden slechts drie mensen het drama op een volgepakte boot.
