Een Britse rechtbank heeft geweigerd om een verlamde man euthanasie te laten plegen. Tony Nicklinson is al zo’n zeven jaar volledig verlamd, maar beschikt wel nog over zijn volle verstand. De rechters zeiden begrip te hebben voor zijn situatie, maar bleven bij het standpunt dat euthanasie gelijkstaat aan moord.
