De Australiër nam de slachtoffertjes op zijn schoot tijdens het besturen van de bus voor de Metropolitan Baptist Church in Sydney. Maar liefst 54 personen hebben hun verhaal gedaan bij de politie.
De verdachte werd inmiddels op vrije voeten gesteld in afwachting van de rechtszaak.
