Met een groei van 8,7 procent in 2009 lijkt de Chinese economie weinig last te hebben van de wereldwijde crisis.
Volgens analisten zal China Japan gauw inhalen om zo de tweede economische grootmacht ter wereld te worden. De Verenigde Staten blijven vooralsnog koploper.
De Chinese economie steeg in 2008 nog met 9,6 procent.
