De politie heeft de voorbije vijf jaar twee keer zoveel cannabisplantages in beslag genomen. Vorig jaar ging het om 380.000 planten, tegenover 177.190 vijf jaar geleden. Dat meldt La Dernière Heure.
Vorig jaar ging het om in totaal 1.111 installaties, tegenover 666 in 2008. Bij de meeste wietplantages gaat het om 250 tot 500 planten. In Tongeren, Antwerpen, Turnhout, Gent en Hasselt ontdekte de politie de meeste plantages.
