De lichtoranje wolk kan irritaties veroorzaken aan de luchtwegen, maar is verder ongevaarlijk voor de bevolking en het milieu. Dat meldt het Crisiscentrum. Bovendien valt de schade mee. Er werd ook contact opgenomen met SOS Pollution en de provincie Limburg.
De wolk is in Luik gepasseerd en verplaatst zich momenteel naar de provincie Luxemburg.
