Vandaag, 27 januari, is het immers dag op dag 65 jaar geleden dat de gevangenen in het vernietigingskamp bevrijd werden.
Op de herdenkingceremonie waren naast ex-gevangenen ook hoogwaardigheidsbekleders als de Poolse president Lech Kaczynski aanwezig. Ook de Benjamin Netanyahu, premier van Israël, woonde de plechtigheid bij.
