De 24-jarige Albrecht Clerinx uit Hoepertingen is zondagmorgen om het leven gekomen bij een verkeersongeluk.
Vermoedelijk verloor de twintiger de controle over het stuur, waarna zijn auto in de gracht belandde. Albrecht werd uit het voertuig geslingerd. Hij stierf ter plaatse, onder zijn eigen wagen.
