Volgens de Peruaanse radiozender RPP zal de familie van van der Sloot naar Peru afreizen om een nieuwe advocaat aan te duiden.
Als de 22-jarige van der Sloot veroordeeld wordt voor de moord op Flores, dan riskeert hij een gevangenisstraf tot 35 jaar.
