Ex-premier Yves Leterme (CD&V) neemt in 2014 niet deel aan de verkiezingen. Dat heeft hij maandagavond in het Canvas-programma Terzake gezegd. Leterme heeft momenteel een topfunctie bij de OESO.
"Ik heb vorige week aan partijvoorzitter Wouter Beke laten weten dat ik niet beschikbaar ben", zei Leterme, die de komende jaren internationaal actief wil blijven.
