De politie Brussel West wil het gebruik van tasers (of stroomstootwapens) invoeren. "In bepaalde situaties kunnen die handiger zijn dan bijvoorbeeld pepperspray", zegt commissaris Johan Berckmans op Radio 1.
Wanneer je pepperspray gebruikt in een kleine ruimte, hebben ook onschuldige omstanders er last van. Met een taser kan de agent veel gerichter te werk gaan.
