Voormalig eurocommissaris Mario Monti heeft van president Giorgio Napolitano een mandaat ontvangen om een nieuwe Italiaanse regering te vormen. Hij volgt Silvio Berlusconi op, die gisteren zijn ontslag indiende. Monti moet er nu voor zorgen dat de financiële markten opnieuw vertrouwen krijgen in Italië.
