In het Europees parlement is vanmorgen de Duitse Europarlementariër Martin Schulz verkozen tot voorzitter tot 2014. De leider van de sociaaldemocratische fractie kreeg in de eerste ronde 387 van de 699 stemmen. Goed voor een meerderheid.
