In het Fortis-dossier wordt nu ook Maurice Lippens verdacht van marktmanipulatie. Hij is de vierde topman van de vroegere bank-verzekeraar die in verdenking wordt gesteld.
Lippens was in 2008, toen de financiële crisis keihard toesloeg, voorzitter van de Raad van Bestuur van Fortis. Hij heeft altijd zijn onschuld staande gehouden.
