De Gentse opera-intendant Gerard Mortier is in de nacht van zaterdag op zondag overleden.
Mortier is 70 geworden. Afgelopen zomer werd bij Mortier een agressieve kanker vastgesteld. Hij was onder meer actief bij de Brusselse Muntschouwburg, het Opéra National de Paris en Teatro Real in Madrid.
