Het proces van de voormalige militaire leider van de Bosnische Serviërs, Ratko Mladic, begint op 14 mei. Dat heeft het in Den Haag gevestigde Joegoslavië-Tribunaal (ICTY) meegedeeld.
Mladic wordt beschuldigd van genocide, oorlogsmisdaden en misdaden tegen de menselijkheid. De nu 69-jarige "generaal" werd op 26 mei 2011 in Servië gearresteerd. Hij werd al zestien jaar gezocht.
