Jan Poels, de procureur van Turnhout, wordt de nieuwe kabinetschef van minister van Justitie Annemie Turtelboom (Open Vld). Dat raakte zopas bekend.
Poels zou nog tot 26 april 2012 procureur in Turnhout blijven. Maar door zijn benoeming tot kabinetschef vervalt dat mandaat. Turnhout krijgt nu een nieuwe procureur.
