De man is intussen naar het Europese Hof gestapt om dit te laten nakijken. Ook wil hij dat het Hof zich buigt over de Belgische douanecode die de taksen en accijnzen op tabaksproducten regelt.
Volgens de rechter haalt de staat immers te veel inkomsten uit producten die schadelijk zijn voor de gezondheid.
