Op het Vali Asrplein joegen de oproerpolitie en veiligheidsfunctionarissen een menigte uiteen. Ook op andere plaatsen kwam het tot een conflict tussen demonstranten tegen het regime van president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad en veiligheidstroepen.
Er werd traangas gebruikt en verschillende manifestanten werden neergeknuppeld. Minstens vijf betogers werden gearresteerd.
