Vlaams parlementsvoorzitter en overtuigd republikein Jan Peumans (N-VA) mocht dinsdagmiddag op audiëntie komen bij koning Albert. De koning ontving hem op het kasteel van Laken naar aanleiding van het Feest van de Vlaamse Gemeenschap op 11 juli.
Ook vorig jaar ging Peumans al eens langs bij de koning op 12 juli, maar dat was toen een primeur. De republikeinse Peumans had eerder dat jaar geweigerd om naar de nieuwjaarsrecepetie van de koning te gaan.
Maar wanneer de koning hem als parlementsvoorzitter uitnodigt voor een audiëntie, gaat de N-VA'er daar wel graag op in.
