OVAM is de opdrachtgever voor de sanering, waarbij vervuilde grond zal worden afgegraven en vervangen door zuivere teelaarde. In de huizen zullen stofrijke plaatsen worden ontstoft. De Openbare Vlaamse Afvalstoffenmaatschappij deelt de kost voor de werken met Umicore.
Op 2 maart volgt een informatieavond over de sanering.
