Er zijn minstens twaalf mensen om het leven gekomen bij protesten in Syrië. Dat meldt de Syrische Nationale organisatie ter verdediging van de mensenrechten.
De slachtoffers werden gedood toen de veiligheidstroepen manifestaties neersloegen in Deraa, Lattakya, de hoofdstad Damascus en Homs.
Er zouden ook tientallen gewonden zijn. Verschillende mensen werden opgepakt.
