Rond half drie werd de 28-jarige man uit Herentals op de weg van Herenthout naar Bouwel gegrepen door een wagen. Het slachtoffer liep op straat. De bestuurster had hem te laat gezien.
De man was te voet op weg naar huis nadat hij de Hooifeesten had bijgewoond. De bestuurster had niet gedronken.
