De socialistische politicus Dany Vandenbossche, die van 1999 tot 2009 in het Vlaams parlement zetelde, is op 57-jarige leeftijd plots overleden. Dat meldt zijn familie zondag op zijn Facebook-pagina.
"Met erg veel pijn in het hart melden we jullie het plotse overlijden van Dany", zo staat op de sociaalnetwerksite. Vandenbossche had vooral interesse in cultuur. Hij was in het midden van de jaren negentig ook schepen van Cultuur in de stad Gent en zat vorige legislatuur de commissie Cultuur van het Vlaams Parlement voor.
