De gesprekken tussen de Israëlische premier Netanyahu (foto) en de Palestijnse president Abbas starten op twee september in Washington. Het is de bedoeling om een oplossing te vinden voor het conflict dat al meer dan zestig jaar duurt.
Het is al twee jaar geleden dat Netanyahu nog rechtstreeks over de kwestie onderhandeld heeft.
