The Black Sugar Rib Company in Smorgasburg in LA smijt volledige alligators op de BBQ! Het beest krijgt eerst nog een 'coating' van allerlei pittige kruiden. Daarna wordt hij 5 uur lang gerookt, waarna het malse vlees gratis aangeboden wordt aan zij die willen proeven. Alligators kunnen wettelijk aangekocht worden bij 'gator farms' en gespecialiseerde winkels over gans Amerika.
