Twee van de aangehouden terreurverdachten zijn Remzi Kartal en Zubeyir Aydar, de voorzitter en ondervoorzitter van het Koerdisch Nationaal Congres.
Het federaal parket benadrukt dat het niet gaat om journalisten of medewerkers van de Koerdische televisiezender Roj.TV of van het radiostation Mesopotamia.
