Danièle Reynders is procureur in Luik en moet dus partijpolitieke standpunten mijden. Toch had ze op Facebook laten blijken dat ze sympathie had voor haar broer en diens partij.
In eerste aanleg kreeg Danièle Reynders een lichte tuchtstraf (waarschuwing), maar de procureur-generaal van het Hof van Cassatie heeft de straf ongedaan gemaakt.
