De volgende Pirates of The Carribean-film heet Dead Men Tell No Tales. Dat is het vijfde deel, dat wellicht eind dit jaar in productie gaat. Het scenario komt van de makers van Catch Me If You Can.
Johnny Depp, die vele miljoenen vangt voor de rol, speelt opnieuw de hoofdrol. Op de release is het nog wachten tot de zomer van 2015.
