In België is de Facebook-verslaving heel wat groter dan in de buurlanden. In Frankrijk heeft 45 procent van de internetgebruikers zo'n pagina. In Nederland (18,5 procent) en Duitsland (17,28 procent) ligt dat aantal nog lager.
In Groot-Brittanië zijn de mensen wel nog meer verknocht aan Facebook dan in ons land. 62,8 procent van de surfers zit er op de populaire site.
In ons land hebben evenveel vrouwen als mannen Facebook. Meer dan de helft van de leden zijn jongvolwassenen (18-34 jaar).
