‘Benidorm Bastards’, het succesformat van het Vlaamse productiehuis Shelter, krijgt een Spaanse versie. De commerciële zender Antena 3 gaat het programma binnenkort uitzenden onder de titel ‘Los mayores gamberros’, oftewel ‘herrieschoppende bejaarden’.
Toen ‘Benidorm Bastards’ in 2010 een hype werd, protesteerde de burgemeester van Benidorm nog tegen de titel van het programma, die het toerisme schade zou toebrengen. Intussen is het format al verkocht aan 35 landen, waaronder de VS.
