Het Britse productiehuis Open TV and Film en ITV Studios USA is bezig aan een tv-serie over de verkiezingscampagne van Barack Obama. ITV Studios USA co-produceert het project. Wie Obama zal spelen is nog niet bekend.
Obama, die toen nog lang niet zeker was van een positie in het Witte Huis, vroeg aan MSNBC-journalist Richard Wolffe om hem te volgen tijdens zijn campagne. Dat resulteerde in het boek Renegade: The Making of a President, waarop het scenario voor de serie gebaseerd is.
