Dana International zal dit jaar voor de tweede keer deelnemen aan het Eurovisiesongfestival. De Israëlische transseksueel wil in het Duitse Düsseldorf scoren met het liedje "Ding dong".
Israëlische televisiekijkers verkozen de zangeres boven negen andere potentiële deelnemers. Ook de jury wilde 'Sharon Cohen' zien winnen.
In 1998 wist Dana International de liedjeswedstrijd te winnen met het nummer "Diva". De Israëlische ster treedt eerst aan in de tweede halve finale van het Eurovisiesongfestival.
