De vijftigste verjaardag van de moord op John F. Kennedy - op 22/11/2013 - zal ook in de bioscoop niet onopgemerkt voorbij gaan. Minstens vier films stellen de historische aanslag centraal.
Meest opvallende film lijkt 'Parkland', waarin acteur Paul Giamatti de rol van Abraham Zapruder speelt. Zapruder is de burger die onbedoeld de moord op JFK op film vastlegde. Tom Hanks produceert voor betaalzender HBO. Andere acteurs zijn Zac Efron en Billy Bob Thornton.
Andere films heten 'The Kennedy Detail', 'Dallas In Wonderland' of de docu 'Killing Kennedy'.
