De Britse acteur Matthew Lewis en zijn 'Harry Potter'-collega's hebben het regisseur Chris Columbus niet makkelijk gemaakt. Dat bekende hij tijdens een interview.
De 22-jarige Lewis, die de rol van Neville Longbottom vertolkt, gedroeg zich tien jaar geleden niet altijd netjes op de filmset van 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone'. Ook tijdens de opnames van de tweede film 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets' waren de jonge acteurs ondeugend.
"Ik kan me voorstellen dat Chris af en toe wel dacht 'Lieve hemel, ze doen ook helemaal niet wat ik wil'. We hingen wat rond en grapten wat af. Op 11- of 12-jarige leeftijd beschouw je het niet als een job. Maar Chris is altijd kalm gebleven", aldus Lewis.
