De Bilzense presentator Luc Appermont is door de raad van bestuur van de Vlaamse Televisie Academie verkozen tot nieuwe voorzitter. Hij volgt acteur en voormalig vtm-baas Mike Verdrengh op.
De Vlaamse Televisie Academie organiseert jaarlijks de Nacht van de Vlaamse Televisie Sterren, waar tv-gezichten, -makers en -programma's bekroond worden. Appermont maakt sinds 2010 deel uit van de Academie.
