Borsato had in het voorbije jaar flink wat zorgen. Zo ging hij bijna bankroet. "Ik twitter pas vanaf juni", aldus de zanger aan De Telegraaf. "Maar ik vind het hartstikke leuk om dingen te delen. Ik heb inmiddels ruim 25.000 volgers."
Borsato werd in de bloemetjes gezet na een opvoering van de musical 'Mamma Mia!'. De zanger had zelf gestemd op tv-presentator Paul De Leeuw.
