Actrice Michelle Yeoh zal de hoofdrol spelen in een film over het leven van de Birmese politica Aung San Suu Kyi. Dat schrijft de Thaise krant Bangkok Post.
Luc Besson zou plaatsnemen in de regisseursstoel. De prent zal 'Dans la Lumière' gedoopt worden en wordt volgend jaar in de zalen verwacht.
Yeoh, een 48-jarige Maleisische, kreeg al de eer om dinsdag met de Nobelprijswinnares te praten in Yangon (Rangoon), de grootste stad van Birma.
Suu Kyi is sinds november weer op vrije voeten. Yeoh kan u kennen van films zoals 'Tomorrow Never Dies' en 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon'.
