De 66-jarige acteur kampte al even met prostaatkanker, maar werd vorig jaar kankervrij verklaard. Nu zou Hughes weer hervallen zijn. Dat bleek nadat hij eerder deze week thuis in elkaar was gezakt.
Hughes ondergaat nu bestralingen in het Queen Elizabeth ziekenhuis in Portsmouth.
