De buurtbewoners vrezen vooral het lot van de kleintjes. De mast is 25 meter hoog.
"Ooievaren bouwen hun nesten het liefst zo hoog mogelijk", zegt Julian Heierman van NABU, een bond ter bescherming van de natuur. "Ze houden graag alles in de gaten."
