Outlook-gebruikers zullen met de Outlook Social Connector in staat zijn de Facebook-profielfoto's van hun contactpersonen te zien, alsook nieuwe statusupdates, foto's en prikbordberichten.
Deze zet van Microsoft is er gekomen na een eerdere integratie van LinkedIn met Outlook. De softwaregigant ziet het aantrekken van sociale websites als een belangrijke strategische stap.
