Volgend jaar zal de verkoop van apps, de applicaties voor smartphones of tablets, stijgen tot maar liefst 14,1 miljard dollar.
Ook de verkoop van tabletcomputers en smartphones zit in de lift. In 2011 zullen er naar verluidt meer dan 40 miljoen tablet-pc's en bijna 420 miljoen smartphones over de toonbank rollen.
