Lucienne Vanbesien zong steeds in het dialect. Haar nummer 'M'n zeekapiting' werd over heel Vlaanderen bekend toen Betty het zong in de eerste reeks van Big Brother.
Loes nam in 2009 afscheid van haar fans op de Paulusfeesten in Oostende. Er werd ook een borstbeeld van haar onthuld in de kuststad.
