De Russische wielrenner Alexander Serebryakov wordt door het Russische Antidopingagentschap (RUSADA) voor vier jaar geschorst omwille van dopinggebruik. Dat meldde het RUSADA donderdag.
De 26-jarige renner van de Baskische wielerformatie Euskaltel-Euskadi testte op 21 februari en op 18 maart positief op epo. Begin april, nadat de Internationale Wielerunie (UCI) Euskaltel-Euskadi had ingelicht over de positieve dopingcontroles, werd Serebryakov al op non-actief gezet. De Rus kan pas in april 2017 zijn rentree maken.
