Nooit gezien tafereel tijdens de Premier League afgelopen weekend. Tijdens de wedstrijd Birmingham en Wigan werd de assistent-scheidsrechter namelijk gevloerd door de cornervlag.
Nadat Birmingham-speler Liam Ridgewell met een schandalige tackle James McCarthy (Wigan) vloerde werd de cornervlag geraakt. De cornervlag die wegschoot vloog recht op het gezicht van de assistent, bloedend moest deze worden afgevoerd.
